Roger Berry

Roger was the Member of Parliament for Kingswood, Bristol between 1992 and 2010. During that time he chaired the British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Committee on Arms Export Controls. He served on the Trade and Industry and Deregulation select committees and as secretary and then co-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Disability Group.

Prior to entering Parliament, Roger was a Lecturer in Economics at the Universities of Sussex, Papua New Guinea and Bristol. He was a member of Avon County Council from 1981 to 1993 and served as Deputy Leader of the Council.

Roger is currently the chair of the Avon and Bristol Law Centre, a trustee of Disability Rights UK and has undertaken consultancy work for the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
