Shahenda El Naggar
Shahenda joined Global Partners Governance in January 2018 as a Research assistant. Working closely with Egypt’s Project Manager, she provides background information on the political environment in Egypt for the implementation of Egypt project covering topics such as education, local development, women empowerment and decentralization. She also works on detecting opportunities and risks based on contextual analysis. Moreover, she supports the Senior Managers with mapping Donors and implementers in Egypt and the Operations Manager with administrative work.
Before joining Global Partners, Shahenda trained as a Political Reporter at Daily News Egypt. She undertook further training at the National Center for Middle Eastern Studies as a Political Researcher, where she contributed to the center’s quarterly periodical.
Shahenda was previously an intern in Senator Ben Cardin’s congressional office, the Democratic leader of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
Shahenda holds a BSc in Political Science from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.
Shahenda is fluent in both Arabic and English and has basic knowledge of French.
